House Rules

The primary guest must be at least 18 years of age. The property does not allow unmarried couples or groups consisting only of male guests. Valid government-issued ID (Passport, Aadhaar, or Driving License) is mandatory at check-in; local IDs and PAN cards are not accepted. Smoking and outside food are not permitted on the premises, while alcohol consumption has no restrictions. The property is not wheelchair accessible. Pets (only one dog per stay) are allowed at an additional charge of INR 500 per day; pets must be leashed and are not permitted on beds or in restricted areas such as the restaurant, kitchen, or swimming pool. Check-in assistance is provided by the host/caretaker, and self check-in is unavailable. Private parties, outside visitors, and flexible entry/exit timings are restricted and subject to host approval. Guests should note that access to the homestay requires walking approximately 60 meters along an uphill/downhill paved pathway. Additional gala dinner charges may apply during festive periods and are payable directly at the property.

⚠️ Extremely Disappointing Experience at The Sangdhrigham Hideout, Dalhousie ⚠️ We booked this hotel for a family vacation from 23 May to 25 May 2026, expecting a comfortable stay because it is advertised as a 4-star property. Unfortunately, the actual experience was completely opposite and highly disappointing. Due to the poor conditions and service, we had to leave the hotel one day early despite having a confirmed booking. Major Issues Faced: There is no proper hotel name board, address sign, or advertisement on the road. It is extremely difficult to locate the property. Even local people were unaware of the hotel name, and we had to depend on phone calls and guesswork to find the location. The hotel is situated at a very low ground level, requiring guests to climb approximately 100 stairs from the parking area to the rooms. This is highly inconvenient, especially for elderly people, children, and families carrying luggage. Parking space was not properly available, despite parking being clearly mentioned on booking platforms. Only 2 staff members were managing around 15 rooms, resulting in very poor and delayed room service. Staff behavior was extremely rude and careless. Instead of helping guests, they behaved unprofessionally and ignored customer complaints. The managers/staff members Naveen and Sahil were particularly unresponsive. the property owner also behave same. The room was dirty and unhygienic. insects and spiders were found moving around inside the room. Insects/spiders were even found inside the hot water kettle, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially one claiming to be a 4-star property. Basic welcome kit items such as tea, coffee sachets, water bottles, and proper kettle setup were missing from the room. Bathroom sanitary fittings and taps were leaking and poorly maintained. Even after complaints, no corrective action was taken. Despite repeatedly informing the management about cleanliness and hygiene concerns, the issues were ignored. Room service response was extremely slow and unsatisfactory. The hotel claims “standard room upgraded to super deluxe,” but the actual room quality, cleanliness, and maintenance were below even basic standards. The photos clearly show the unhygienic washroom condition, drainage issues, insects/spiders, and poor overall maintenance. I seriously question how this property received a 4-star category. The online ratings and reviews appear highly misleading compared to the actual ground reality. Would NOT recommend this hotel to families or travelers looking for hygiene, comfort, professionalism, or proper service. Totally a waste of money and a very disappointing experience.
